2017 explorations
2017 explorations
The winter of 2017 was very fruitful. First, it was the trip to the north to explore new paragliding sites beyond Isiolo, Archer’s post, Kapenguria, Lodwar. On one of Nikolay’s landing, local people rushed frantically to the scene and a motorbike crashed into a running woman. Then they told Isaac, who was coming for a retrieve, that the white guy (the mzungu) fell from the sky, he was probably kicked from an airplane by Al Shabab. Next days there were encounters with cattle rustlers, so they slept in a police camp for any case. Isaac’s survival intuition and approach towards security is essential for paragliding explorations in remote corners of Kenya.
Then 2 more trips followed. One with a group of French pilots and another tour with Bulgarian pilots, which brought the discovery of new take offs at Nzui forest, Zombe, Kibwezi and Chyulu hills.
